Dr Rajlakshmi (Raj) Rajpal:

Qualifications: MBBS FRACGP DCH

Dr. Rajlakshmi started working in Australia in 2008 at Mt. Isa Base Hospital, a place close to her heart. She worked there for 3 years gaining experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and culture. Later she worked in Atherton for a year before moving to Cairns in 2013. She completed her General Practice training in 2014 and has been working with Cairns community since then.

She enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Her areas of interest are Women’s health (puberty to menopause and beyond), antenatal and postnatal care, Contraception (including IUD’s).She also has interest in Mental Health.

She has completed Diploma in Child Health through The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Sydney.She is also a trainer for Doctors who are interested in IUD training.

She has two lovely and beautiful kids.
